Energy Assessment

Energy Assessment

If you want to save on your energy bills, you need to begin with an assessment of your facility and its operating behaviors. Air Force One will analyze your facility to assess your needs and how efficiently those needs are being met by your energy and environmental systems. With this understanding of your facility, we identify the changes you can make, both large and small, to reduce your energy consumption, water consumption, and carbon footprint – all while improving your indoor environment, your operations, your productivity and health, and your bottom line.

Assessment Goals:

•   Identify areas to substantially reduce carbon-footprint, or the

amount of carbon emitted into the atmosphere as a result of

     excess energy used.

•   Reduce the unnecessary operating hours of energy using

equipment, such as HVAC and Lighting.

•   Reduce the load or the need for energy.

•   Increase the operating efficiency of energy-using equipment.

What the Assessment Entails:

•   An initial half day walk-through of your facility and a meeting with

your facility operations and business management staff.

•   Review and analysis of all utility invoices, including rate

    structures.

•   Comparison to energy standards (using industry-approved

standards, including ASHRAE, EnergyStar, and BOMA) based

on the usage of similar facilities.

•   Inspections and assessment of mechanical, electrical, plumbing,

    and water systems.

•   Review of all lighting systems.

•   Review of building structure and building envelope for best

     energy practices.

•   Review of all control strategies and controllers.

•   Written report of findings and Energy Conservation Measures that

will improve both the bottom line for the business and the

     environment for the occupants.

Next Steps

Once the initial Energy Assessment is complete, often times our customers chose to move forward with an Investment Grade Energy Audit to formally identify the Return-On-Investments (ROI) associated with implementing the Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) identified in our initial Energy Assessment. This usually results in implementing several ECMs and Energy Efficiency Retrofits.
